On June 12, 2025, all three subprojects were given an inspiring insight into a central element of the joint project work: the planned virtual exhibition in the form of a scrollytelling.
Dr. Oliver Eberlen and Silke Mohr from Mainz University Library (UB Mainz) were guests at the seminar “Congolese music: history, genres, artists and socio-political context”, which is being taught in the summer semester 2025 as part of the Mainz KOSTIMA subproject by Hauke Dorsch, Nico Nassenstein and Antonia Fendt. In an interactive exchange, they showed how digital exhibitions can be implemented technically and creatively by the UB.
After an introduction round in which students and staff from all three subprojects (Mainz, Hanover, Hildesheim) took part, initial concepts and visualization options were presented. The content for the planned exhibition will be developed together with students in project seminars in Mainz as well as in Hanover/Hildesheim during the winter semester 2025/26.
